What’s the Purpose of the Sliders?

The sliders in the BTA Sports app are designed to give you full control over how you analyze lines, totals, and player props.
They allow you to adjust alternate lines and instantly see how BTA’s model confidence changes in real time — helping you understand how risk and value shift across different scenarios.

How the Sliders Work

When you move a slider on the Game View or Player Screen, you’re simulating alternate versions of a bet.

Each adjustment triggers a live recalculation of BTA’s model to show:

  • The new win probability (%) based on your selected line.

  • The relative change in confidence from the default market line.

For example:
If BTA’s model shows a 72% chance for Over 41.5 points, but you slide to Over 47.5 and see that drop to 58%, you now have a data-backed understanding of how the risk increases with a higher line.

Why the Sliders Matter

The sliders turn betting into an interactive, educational process.

They let you:

  • Visualize risk before committing to a pick.

  • Identify safer or higher-value positions based on probability shifts.

  • Experiment with alternate spreads or totals without leaving the Game View.

  • Compare different risk profiles for a single game or player.

Rather than guessing how line movement affects your odds, you can see it immediately through live probability updates.

When to Use the Sliders

  • Before adding a pick to your Risk Slip — use sliders to find the line that best fits your confidence level.

  • While exploring alternate totals or player props — test multiple lines to spot where model probability aligns with your comfort zone.

  • For learning and strategy building — sliders help you understand the relationship between odds, probability, and value.

Key Takeaway

The sliders are more than just a tool — they’re part of BTA’s commitment to transparency and user education. They show how every change in a line directly affects risk and reward, helping you make smarter, data-informed decisions.
